Watcher Silent

From Jacq

Cry silent or soft,
no one will hear.
Alone you savour
your dried-up tear.
No stars in the sky,
the sea's gentle tide,
we know it's not fine,
the moon's falsely lied.
A rift in time, the heart's eclipse,
Never will you find comfort so deep.
Friends and family, hold their knot,
empty or full, the glass unmarred.Trust and relations, broken or not,
Answer without, they simply are.

Cast in stone, one still ages,
hitherto the water lashes.
A child too far is not unswayed,
spirit crushed, a soul dismayed.
Bearing down, the tide approaches.

Without doubt, growth invokes changes.
Refresh or taint, experience nurtures.
Only yourself you understand,
better or worse, you comprehend.
Back at the beach, that forsaken hour,
meant to reflect, the broken mirror.
Upon the soul, the scars are tan,
you alone, can make it better.

Perhaps right now you understand.
Perhaps you'll never comprehend.

literal

and i've dreamt of receiving my a level results for 3 times already with yesterday being the latest. sometimes, that's as much as one has to look forward to.

tell me

what do you do when your friend wants something you can't give?
or, what do you think when your friend is always hung up about things you find hard to take seriously?

what do you say to a friend who always seems to make decisions you cannot understand?
or, a friend that makes decisions under pressure, in an emotional haze?

what do you find in a friend that is leaving?
or, a friend that you're not sure was ever there?

what do you hope in a friend that never meets your expectations?
or, someone with a completely disparate personality?

maybe getting a pet would be good for only they can play all day with me. life is hard when implicating thoughts and ulterior motives are involved.

Empty Streets

Empty streets in front of me
Sodium street lights burn for me
A distant train traveling down the track
creating a beat with a click clack
Met a cat tonight fell in love
It did not care to know
Heading home alone once more
just want to make it to my front door

The thugs are racing down the high street
their girlfriends scream and tyres screech
I see a fella I knew from school
he nods at me and we play it off
Lives so different now but much the same
I recall that face but not the name
But this is not of my concern
just want to make it to my front door

The early bird singing from a nearby tree
He sings for me when my spirit drops
the only one out here with me tonight
I get the feeling everything's alright
